In this short tutorial I will show you the quick and easy method to finish a stitch when sewing leather goods. about 2 needle lengths to the right. This will assure you that the thread is not pierced on the needle. In which case repeat the above one more time. If you want the item to be extra secure you may opt for 3 backstitches. Go ahead and complete however many you would like before continuing. This helps hide the thread after you snip it. specific thread burning tool to be much easier to burn off the final bits. It will keep the ends from fraying, and if you melt the tips a bit, a small ball of hardened thread will form &#8211; making it difficult to pull through the stitch hole over time.
